Big Fish Grill donates to Seattle Children’s Hospital

Big Fish Grill presented a $230 check and an SUV full of new toys to Seattle Children's Hospital on Jan. 5.

On Jan. 5, Carrie Orrico, owner of Big Fish Grill, and her Issaquah General Manger Paul Hickey, presented a $230 check and an SUV full of new toys to Janel Wohlers, the in-kind gift coordinator at Seattle Children’s Hospital. The money was raised as a percentage of sales from a Santa Brunch held at the restaurant in Issaquah on Dec. 14.

The toys were collected from restaurant team members and guests at all three Big Fish Grill locations throughout the month of December.

“We know the toys are very special to the brave kids who are at Children’s and we wanted to make sure their shelves were stocked after Christmas,” said Orrico.

Orrico and her family hold a special place for Seattle Children’s Hospital. Her daughter Becca, died from leukemia at the age of 10 and was treated at the hospital for more than seven years.

Big Fish Grill is family owned and operated by Carrie Orrico and her children. They currently have three locations in Woodinville, Issaquah and Kirkland.
