Blue skies bless special day for seniors

Thanks to the magnificent setting, and the timely beginning of summer, Friday's graduation ceremony will be a day the students will long remember.

Liberty High School seniors Sean Marihugh and Evan Stedman look up at the grand expanses of Safeco Field, and into the next big adventure of their young lives at their graduation ceremony in Seattle on Friday afternoon.

Thanks to the magnificent setting, and the timely beginning of summer, Friday’s graduation ceremony will be a day the students will long remember.

Parents, friends, alumni and well-wishers filled dozens of rows along the first base line at Safeco, all of them bursting with pride at the accomplishments of the young students.

Marihugh and Stedman were two of many Issaquah School District seniors to make the famous walk across the podium on Friday. Skyline High School held their graduation event at Safeco later that afternoon. And the Eagles took center stage at the Issaquah High School Graduation in the evening.

Eastside Catholic School held their graduation earlier in the month. Tiger Mountain Community High School Graduation held their graduation at the school on Monday night, followed by the Eastlake High School event at Key Arena on Tuesday afternoon.
