Briefly | Paper introduces new reporter

Katie Regan started writing for the Reporter in October 2008. She covers education, city news and breaking news in Issaquah. She graduated from Western Washington University in June 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and a minor in creative writing. While in school, she worked as news editor for her college paper, and as a news reporting intern at the Whatcom Independent, a weekly newspaper, and the Bellingham Herald, a daily paper, both located in Bellingham, Wash. She is interested in writing about community news and environmental issues, and would one day like to get her master’s degree in environmental journalism.
