Celebrate with the Issaquah Singers

The Issaquah Singers will honor Dorothy Hay, its director of 25 years, with a concert Oct. 26 at the Issaquah Senior Center.

The 62-member Issaquah Singers have been singing for more than 35 years. For 25 of those years, Dorothy Hay has been the director of the group, which sings four-part harmony.

The group consists of men and women ages 25 to 85 plus. A volunteer organization, they sing at approximately 17 senior facilities in Issaquah and surrounding areas. Singing songs that are familiar to the residents, the group has a sing-a-long during each of its 45 minute concerts.

The Issaquah Singers will honor Hay on Oct. 26, from 2-4 p.m. at 3 p.m. at the Issaquah Senior Center, 75 N.E. Creek Way. Light refreshments will be served.

All performances by the Issaquah singers are free. The group is funded in part by the Issaquah Arts Commission.
