Child porn uploads linked to Sammamish location | Sammamish police blotter Dec. 27-Jan. 16

Jan. 12: Google made six cyber-tips to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding several uploads of pornography by a Google user to a Google storage account between Dec. 14-28, 2015. The IP address for the uploads geocoded to a Sammamish location.

The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

Dec. 27

ELECTRIC SCOOTER: The manager of the McDonald’s located in the 600 block of 228th Avenue Northeast noticed a bright blue motorized scooter left behind the restaurant around 10:45 p.m. At closing, the manager put the scooter inside.

Dec. 28

HE TRIED: A caller told Sammamish police he found two $50 bills on the ground at the Southeast 34th Street and 213th Avenue Southeast intersection. The called tried to locate the owner but didn’t have any luck. He told police he would likely claim the money if the owner isn’t found.

Dec. 29

LIQUOR: The Safeway located in the 600 block of 228th Avenue Northeast reported someone had shoplifted eight bottles of high-priced liquor. The suspects came in the store, loaded the cart and left without paying. A Sammamish detective is investigating the theft.

Dec. 30

FAKE CHECK: A victim in the 900 block of 221st Avenue Northeast reported someone used a fake cashier’s check to solicit the victim to cash it and send that person the money via Western Union.

Jan. 3

NO QFC FOR 1 YEAR: Sammamish police found a car left running and unlocked in the Klahanie QFC parking lot, located at 4570 Klahanie Dr. SE There was drug paraphernalia on the passenger seat of the car. When the owner of the vehicle exited the QFC, he was accused of shoplifting and police trespassed him from the business for one year.

Jan. 4

BIKES: Someone cut the bike locks off of a white Cannondale Quick cx 3 and an orange Elite Adventure locked in a secured parking garage in the 22800 block of Northeast Eighth Street and stole them.

BIG HOUSE BBQ: Someone repeatedly harasses the Big House BBQ located in the 25700 block of Southeast 31st Place, calling 10-15 per day.

Jan. 6

OVERDOSE: A male at the Papa John’s, located at 721 228th Ave. NE, overdosed on cocaine and alcohol and was transported to the hospital.

RUNAWAY, ALMOST: A juvenile male ran away from his foster parents while en route to Creekside Elementary School, located at 20777 SE 16th St., but was later found hiding in the school.

Jan. 8

FECES SPLATTERED: Someone splattered feces up the reporting party’s walkway in front of their home, placed chunks of feces under the doormat and smeared feces on the siding of the house in the 2500 block of SE 42nd St. The homeowner cleaned up the mess and there were no damages.

Jan. 10

GRENADE FOUND: A homeowner located a grenade in their private residence at 2600 block of 233rd Place NE. Police disposed of the explosive and ammunition.

Jan. 11

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES: An unknown male entered the reporting party’s home via the garage door by using a keypad in the 600 block of 234th Place NE. The male claimed a real estate company hired him to clean carpets; however, the home is not under a real estate contract. The reporting party has owned the home since June. The victim told police he or she will check with the former listing agent to see if this may be a legitimate mistake.

PROWLER BUSTED: A suspect prowling vehicles in an apartment parking lot was interrupted by an apartment resident in the 22000 block of Inglewood Hills. Police arrested the suspect and prosecutors charged the defendant with auto prowling.

Jan. 12

MAIL THEFT: Someone stole the victim’s outgoing mail with a check inside the envelope from the victim’s mailbox located on the street in the 1800 block of Beaver Lake Drive.

Jan. 13

SHOPLIFTERS SPOTTED: The manager of Safeway spotted two known shoplifters at the store in the 600 block of 228th Ave. NE. The suspects left the items behind; police arrested the suspects on prior probable cause for commercial burglary and retail theft. Both suspects were trespassed from the grocery store.

WINDOW SHATTERED: An unknown subject shattered a vehicle’s passenger side window and stole a woman’s purse and garage door opener in the 200 block of 228th Ave. SE.

Jan. 15

BOMB THREAT: A Sammamish Police Department administrative sergeant reported that he switched the phone system’s night service to day service and listened to the voicemails. When the officer returned to his or her desk, the main phone number to the office rang and someone made a bomb threat.

Jan. 16

DRUG DEAL GONE BAD?: Police responded to a suspicious attempted robbery in the 3000 block of Issaquah-Pine Lake Road. Police noted that the incident seemed like a civil issue or a drug deal gone bad.
