NO DATING MY DAUGHTER: At 9:56 a.m. in the 1500 block of NE Highmoor Court, a police officer met and spoke with a father about his 27-year-old daughter seeing a subject who her father dislikes. The officer explained that his daughter is old enough to decide to see the subject. The father asked if police could run the subject’s name to check his criminal history and the officer advised him that he could not legally do so.

CHECKOUT TIME: At 12:48 p.m. in the 1800 block of 15th Place NW, police contact two subjects at a hotel, who stated they fell asleep and did not hear room service nor the phone ring. Police advised them that it was past checkout time. They stated they understood, gathered their belongings and left the hotel.

ASSAULT: At 5:37 p.m. in the 5100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE, police arrested a 52-year-old Issaquah woman for assault.

May 8

ER PATIENT REFUSES TO LEAVE: At 1:50 a.m. in the 700 block of NE Blakely Drive, a subject who had been a previous emergency room patient at the hospital was wandering around the parking lot and refusing to leave. Prior to police arrival, he walked off. Police checked the area but couldn’t find him.

VEHICLE PROWL: At 11:46 a.m. in the 900 block of Discovery Circle NE, a vehicle prowl suspect stole $375 worth of merchandise from a backpack, including a wallet, passport and textbooks.

HEFTY THEFT: At 1:18 p.m. in the 900 block of NE High St., someone stole a total loss of $6,000 from a Ford Expedition.

CITIZEN FOLLOWS ‘DUI DRIVER’: At 8:56 p.m. at Pine View Drive Northwest and Northwest Pine Cone Drive, a citizen reported a possible DUI driver and followed the vehicle to a residence. The citizen contacted the driver and the driver’s father about the reckless driving. Police contacted the driver, who was not drunk but admitted that he was on his cell phone texting and looking at directions.

CUT OFF: At 9:32 a.m. in the 700 block of NE Blakely Drive, police arrived on scene and spoke to the reporting party, who advised that another driver was driving 70-80 mph up Highlands Drive, then cut the reporting party off and locked up his brakes. The man who called police almost hit another driver with his vehicle. He apologized.

PRESCRIPTION FOR TROUBLE: At 4:59 p.m. in the 6300 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE, police contacted the complainant in the lobby at the Issaquah police station. He stated that he requested a printout of his prescriptions at Walgreens and employees refused to give the printout to him. Police said this is a civil mattr and police cannot force the business to render services.

May 10

NOT MY FAULT: At 1:13 p.m. in the 1500 block of NW Gilman Blvd., a woman parked in a parking space at the QFC parking lot. When she opened her driver’s side door, at some point the door came into contact with the front passenger door of another car that was attempting to park in the adjoining parking space. Both drivers disputed who was at fault.

WORKSITE THEFT: At 2:49 p.m. in the 4600 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway SE, someone stole $3,100 worth of materials from a worksite.

DUI ARREST: At 7:22 p.m. at East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast and Southeast 43rd Street, a 58-year-old Seattle woman was arrested for driving under the influence.

May 11

MISSING CHILD: At 1:54 p.m. in the 200 block of Ave. NE and East Sunset Way, the caller reported he found a little girl. Upon police arrival, the child’s brother was with her and walked her home. The mother was not home, but returned shortly after police arrival and said she had been looking for her daughter who walked off.

SLOW AS A CATERPILLAR: At 2:37 p.m. at Mountain Park Boulevard Southwest, a caterpillar machine was blocking westbound Mountain Park Boulevard Southwest at West Sunset Way. Police advised the crew to put out cones when blcoking and an officer assisted with traffic control for a few minutes until the machine was removed.

HOT DOG: At 3:08 p.m. in the 22000 block of SE 51st St., police responded to a hot dog complaint. The vehicle had shades up on two sides and all of the windows were cracked open at least three to four inches. The sunroof was also open. Police determined the vehicle’s interior temperature was not hot. The dog appeared fine and was not panting or warm to the touch. The pooch also had a water dish with water.

DINE, DASH, RETURN: At 7:24 p.m. in the 1500 block of Highlands Drive SE, a restaurant employee said that a patron left prior to paying her bill. The employee provided a license plate and picture of the suspect vehicle, along with a picture of the suspect. Police were able to locate the subject and she stated that she forgot to pay. She returned to pay for her meal.
