Sammamish hired Andrew Warren Zagars as the new city engineer earlier this month.

The position has been vacant since the beginning of the year.

Zagars will oversee the development and implementation of infrastructure improvements within the city through private development and city-initiated capital improvement projects for both stormwater and transportation programs.

He will also supervise the public works’ staff.
