The Issaquah Police Department will once again host its annual National Night Out event — including live demonstrations, raffles, food and information booths — on the steps of City Hall the night of Tuesday, Aug. 4.

National Night Out events aim to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anticrime efforts and send a message that local neighborhoods are organized and won’t stand for crime.

A K-9 unit, Riverdog Canine Coaching, and King County Search and Rescue, will perform live demonstrations on the Veterans’ Memorial Park lawn.

For more information, call the Issaquah Police Department at 425-837-3200.

The Sammamish event will be held at the Commons Plaza between 12-4 p.m.
