Community Center opens mailbox for letters to Santa

City staff urged writers to send letters with a home mailing address so that they can receive a response.

The Issaquah Community Center has opened its mailbox for letters to Santa Claus, according to a city announcement made Tuesday.

The mailbox, located in the center lobby, is a place where children of all ages can send their letters and Christmas wish lists to the Elf-in-Chief. Templates for letters have been provided next to the mailbox.

City staff urged writers to send letters with a home mailing address so that they can receive a response.

The community center is located at 301 Rainier Blvd. S. The mailbox will be available during regular community center hours, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
