Connie Fletcher named to state board of education

Gov Jay Inslee has appointed Issaquah’s Connie Fletcher to the Washington State Board of Education. She will serve, a term beginning Jan. 28, 2015 through Jan. 12, 2019.

Fletcher joined the board in 2009 and currently serves on the board’s executive committee. Her educational leadership experience includes 16 years on the Issaquah School Board and three years as president and in other officer roles at the Washington State School Directors’ Association.

Fletcher has served as consultant to nonprofit organizations, municipalities and school districts regarding governance, planning and fundraising, as well as serving on the boards of several other child welfare and social service organizations.
