Police responded to a call of a man sitting in his neighbor’s yard May 22 in a lawn chair.

Police responded to a call of a man sitting in his neighbor’s yard May 22 in a lawn chair.

When officers contacted the man in front of the home in the 1100 block of Ridgewood Place Southwest, he said he had been on a walk and was sitting to rest before he went home.

He stated he was out on a walk because it was a nice evening.

ANGRY CUSTOMER

Issaquah police responded to a call May 20 of a “skinny” man yelling at customers and workers in a fast food restaurant in the 1300 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. The man was reportedly demanding free food and other things.

SMASH & GRAB

Thieves broke into a car in the 500 block of 8th Avenue Southeast on May 22, stealing $1,450 in items. They made off with a backpack, computer and pocketbook.

SNAP, CRACKLE, POP

An Issaquah resident called police May 22 to report someone threw fireworks on the ground near the front door of their home. Police found remnants of fireworks on the ground in the 4500 block of 185th Avenue Southeast, but were unable to locate any suspects.

CAR RECOVERED

Sammamish police contacted Issaquah police May 20 after discovering a possible stolen Pontiac Grand Am in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant on East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast.

The VIN number matched a stolen vehicle out of Renton.

SUSPICIOUS

Police responded to a call May 19 of two young girls yelling “we don’t talk to strangers” at a nearby car. The girls were pushing their bikes uphill near Southeast 43rd Way and 228th Avenue Southeast.

Police were unable to locate the girls or the vehicle.

FALSE ALARM

Police were contacted May 19 after a reported hangup of a 911 call. Dispatchers reported they were able to talk to the homeowner in the 300 block of Datewood Court Northwest, who reported her son was playing on the phone.
