The Downtown Issaquah Association’s quest to purchase and maintain 40 flower baskets in the downtown area has raised $1,950. The association’s goal is to raise $10,000 to pay for 40 flowering baskets.
Five individuals or organizations each have contributed $250, which will purchase and maintain one basket. Those stepping up are Jeff and Katie Weaver, Eastside Consultants, Inc., Richard Weisberg, The Village Theatre and Eastside Audiology.
To boost interest in the program, the association is offering several types of recognition, depending on the donation.
For a $1,000 donation, the person or business will receive a banner placard 24”x 16” with their logo on it to hang on Front Street. Also, they will be recognized in a thank you press release and on the Downtown Issaquah Association website. Finally, a Mother’s Day card will be sent to the mother of the donor’s choice.
A $250 donation gets recognition in a thank you press release and on the association’s website. A Mother’s Day card also is sent.
Those making a $50 donation get the Mother’s Day card service saying that the contribution has been made in their honor for a flower basket in downtown Issaquah.
A $10 suggested donation get the person into the Issaquah Brewery Flower Basket Fundraiser from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 22. A silent auction featuring gift baskets also is part of the evening’s activities.
The deadline for this year’s baskets is May 1 to ensure the association can get cards out timely for Mother’s Day, which is May 11. Contributions made after this date will go into a general beautification fund.
