Wolf of the Month has been a tradition at Eastlake for many years as they recognize excellence in students. This includes academics, effort and citizenship. Most awards are for academic classes, athletics or clubs, however, there are additional awards for leadership, school spirit, community service and activities.

Every month students are nominated per category by their teachers. Students receive a special recognition certificate and get their photo displayed in the lunch room for that month.
