Eastside Catholic Students to compete at International DECA competition

Two Eastside Catholic School students, Alex Smith and Katie Sutherland, both of Issaquah, will compete at International DECA competition in Orlando, Fla. They recently competed against approximately 3,500 students at the state competition at Meydenbauer Center. The school had 31 students in the competition.

 

Two Eastside Catholic School students, Alex Smith and Katie Sutherland, both of Issaquah, will compete at International DECA competition in Orlando, Fla. They recently competed against approximately 3,500 students at the state competition at Meydenbauer Center. The school had 31 students in the competition.

Alex placed sixth overall in Hospitality Services Team Decision Making, and Katie placed seventh overall in Sports and Entertainment Marketing.

Also placing were:

o Emily Franceschina and Kristina Boswell – eighth overall in Learn and Earn Project

o Jeffrey Bohling and Taylor Knott – 11th overall in Sports and Entertainment Marketing Operations

o Ben Kramer and Eric Olson – 12th overall in Buying and Merchandising Operations

o Genevieve Greschler – 12th overall in Principles of Marketing and

o Michael Hill – 13th overall in Food Marketing
