Autism Day WA, founded by Sammamish resident Lynn Banki, will hold its 13th annual event beginning at 11 a.m. Aug. 10 at Jubilee Farm in Carnation.

The fun-filled day offers free activities for families and caregivers of people on the autism spectrum. More than 400 people attended the event last summer.

The event will include vendors and exhibits specifically designed to serve teenagers and adults who have been diagnosed as autistic.

Beginning a noon, savant artist Michael Tolleson will complete an original 48×60 and donate it to a charity that supports children with autism. He is best known for completing his impressionistic images of animals and landscapes in no more than 30 minutes. Tolleson has produced and sold more than 350 paintings in the past 24 months.
