EvergreenHealth seeks hospice volunteers

EvergreenHealth Hospice is seeking kind and caring volunteers to work with hospice patients and their families.

EvergreenHealth Hospice is seeking kind and caring volunteers to work with hospice patients and their families. This assistance can include errands, card games, conversation, reading, singing, music, or watching TV with a patient.

In addition to providing companionship to hospice patients, services by licensed massage and reflexology volunteers are needed as well as licensed cosmetologists to provide haircuts.

Hospice volunteers provide an average of two to four hours each week, and volunteer training consists of three full days, hosted six times a year.

Upcoming training dates are: October 14, 17 and 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, located in the conference room at the Gene and Irene Wockner Hospice Center near the EvergreenHealth campus, 12822 124th Lane N.E., Kirkland.
