Fenders on Front Street returns June 15

Fenders on Front Street is headed back to Issaquah.

Fenders on Front Street is headed back to Issaquah.

This free annual car show will be held on Father’s Day, June 15, with vehicles parked along Front Street from Sunset to the Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-In. Participants come from across the state to show their classic cars.

There will be live music by Kaleidoscope School of Music, family activities and a trophy and awards ceremony with MC Lance Lambert. Vinyl Radio will be broadcasting tunes all day long with Jeff Shade, the host of syndicated show “Talk About Cars” which airs Sunday mornings. The afternoon will culminate with an afternoon cruise to Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-In.

Trophies will be awarded for best of show, most unique and favorite original, classic, 50’s, 1950-1969, post 1970, foreign, truck and “cuz it’s cool.”

The day starts with the Eagles breakfast at 7 a.m., judging of the cars begins at 11 a.m., trophy presentation is at 2 p.m. at the historic Shell station, 232 Front St. N., and the cruise from the Shell station to the Triple XXX at 3 p.m.
