Film to explore rising pressure on students

Issaquah education groups are bringing "Race to Nowhere," an award-winning documentary about rising pressure on students, to the community March 1.

Issaquah education groups are bringing “Race to Nowhere,” an award-winning documentary about rising pressure on students, to the community March 1.

The film explores the high-stakes, high-pressure environment that has taken over children’s lives. The screening will be followed by a post-film panel.

The show starts at 6 p.m., at the Issaquah High School Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 online, and $15 at the door. The doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The event is being organized by Community Conversations, a network of Issaquah’s PTSA, district, teacher’s union and the Issaquah Schools Foundation.
