Sammamish residents traveling through the intersection of 228th Avenue and Inglewood Hill Road between 2-6 p.m., Friday will also find a dedicated group of firefighters.

The group from firefighter union IAFF Local 2878 will be raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association as part of this year’s “Fill-the-Boot” fundraiser.

Look for firefighters holding out a boot and weaving their way through the lanes of traffic for donations.
