Help is being offered to businesspeople and residents of Issaquah who were adversely affected by the floods earlier this year.

A Disaster Recovery Center has been established at the Issaquah City Hall.

Staff there will provide face-to-face assistance to people suffering damages from the severe winter storm that impacted King County from Jan. 6 to 16.

The center was opened in Issaquah on Wednesday, Feb. 18.

Normal hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The center will be closed on Sundays.

The Disaster Recovery Center is being operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

This center is the place to go for more information about low-interest loans, starting at 2.687 percent, for homeowners to repair or replace their residence, or for businesses looking to repair property damage or economic injury which resulted from the floods.

These loans are being offered by the US Small Business Administration.

People looking to apply for the loans need to first register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, on (800) 621 3362.

Applications for the loans, and registration with FEMA, must be completed by March 31.
