Celebrate America’s independence this weekend at a variety of local events.

• The Down Home Fourth of July celebration and Heritage Festival will take place in downtown Issaquah on Saturday. Activities begin at 11 a.m. and run until 2 p.m.

• The Pets ‘n Pride Parade will kick off at 11 a.m. at Rainier Ave. and Northwest Dogwood St.

• The Freedom Day Celebration at Issaquah Christian Church will begin at 11 a.m. A Classic Car Show and Shine will bring dozens of cars for display to the lawn at the church. This is an open show.

• The Issaquah History Museums will hold their Heritage Day event in and around the Issaquah Depot from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

• Remember, fireworks within the city limits are banned.

• Major streets such as Front Street North from NW Gilman Boulevard to E. Sunset Way will be closed. For a full list of closures contact 425-392-0661.
