Issaquah High School is marching down Second Avenue Southeast Friday to celebrate the school’s annual Homecoming Day festivities, raising the potential for late-morning traffic.
A special use permit was granted allowing the IHS student body and staff to walk down Second Avenue from Southeast Bush Street to Front Street South between 9:15-9:30 a.m. and 10:20-10:35 a.m.
The parade will march to the to the Issaquah Community Center and back during those times.
Due to construction, the school staff and student body currently do not have a gymnasium in which to have the assembly. The walkers will be the entire IHS student body and administration. IHS has already secured the Community Center for the celebration/assembly.
