Next weekend, celebrate 17 years of community and culture at the annual Sammamish Days festival, which will take place Aug. 20 in the Sammamish Commons Plaza.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents may visit any of the 27 vendor booths and satisfy their appetite with food from participating food trucks Athenas, Yummy Box, 314 Pies and Kona Ice.
The main stage will feature multicultural entertainment, while children’s activities will include bouncy toys and face-painting.
The city is anticipating around 3,000 attendees throughout the four hours of the event.
Parking is limited at City Hall and the Sammamish Library. Nearby parking is available at Mary, Queen of Peace at 1121 228th Ave. SE. A trail leads from the church to the plaza.

As day turns into night, the event will shift toward the 21-and-over crowd for the eighth annual Sammamish Nights, presented by the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce. Attendees must be 21 years or older to attend.
From 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Sammamish Commons, Sammamish Nights will feature live music, dancing, small plate entrees and desserts from local restaurants, and wine, beer and spirits tasting. Attendees may also look forward to an Arts Fair preview. Providing musical entertainment will be the assorted dance stylings of the Brickhouse Showband.
Prepaid tickets are $45 per person. Tickets are $55 per person at the door the day of the event.
