A community networking program called Stewardship In Action, offering financial and technical aid to rural landowners in the Patterson Creek and Raging River basins, will take place this Fall.

The goal of the project is to provide assistance to individual landowners who are interested in protecting or improving their privately owned natural resources.

The program aims to identify qualifying landowners and help them achieve their land improvement goals which also contribute to a healthier environment.

Various groups will be contributing crews and technical expertise to assist landowners with projects such as installing fencing, thinning or harvesting forests, becoming Firewise, improving pastures, replacing culverts, installing agricultural buffers, improving streams, and addressing wildlife issues.

Properties with wetlands, contiguous forest or quality wildlife habitat are also eligible to receive property tax reductions from King County. For more information, go to info@prkc.org
