History Museums to hold holiday open house

The Issaquah History Museums will host its eighth annual holiday open house at the Issaquah Train Depot on Dec. 3. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free.

 

The Issaquah History Museums will host its eighth annual holiday open house at the Issaquah Train Depot on Dec. 3. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free.

There will be homemade cookies, coffee and cocoa, as well as activities for the family. Live music will be provided by the Essie Blue musicians.

Local crafters also will be at the Depot to sell handmade items, which could be a good opportunity to stock up on gifts and stocking stuffers.

A Santa Claus will be present to chat with children and have pictures taken. Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. People should being their own camera for a photo.

In addition, kids will have an opportunity to examine antique ornaments, learn a bit of history and take home a decoration they have made themselves.

The Issaquah Train Depot is located at 150 First 1st Ave. NE.
