Issaquah and Lake Washington school districts closed Friday

Both Issaquah and Sammamish announced that they plan to cancel classes Friday, after a snow storm last a couple days longer than initially predicted.

Treacherous roads aside, most of the schools in these districts have lost power.

Issaquah has snow days already built into its school-year calendar. Tomorrow’s cancellation will be made up on Tuesday, June 19.

High-school students who have finals this week: The schedule has been pushed back by yet another day. Liberty’s finals are now Monday (Jan. 23) through Thursday (Jan. 26). Issaquah High’s and Skyline’s review day will be Monday (Jan. 23) with finals on Tuesday (Jan. 24) through Thursday (Jan. 26). Please note: Monday will be a full day; the finals half-days will now fall on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Administration Building is without power, which means the servers are down and staff email and District/school webpages are unavailable until the powerlines are repaired.
