Issaquah driver who hit boy not cited

An 11-year-old boy was hurt today when he ran into State Route 906 and was struck by a car, being driven by a 49-year-old Issaquah man.

An 11-year-old boy was hurt today when he ran into State Route 906 and was struck by a car, being driven by a 49-year-old Issaquah man.

The Yakima Herald-Republic has identified the man as Erik J. Olson, 49. He was not cited for any driving infractions in the incident.

Olson was westbound on SR 906 in front of Summit Central in his 2005 Volvo XC90 when he struck the boy, who, according to authorities, ran out from between snow banks.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the boy was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries after the accident just before noon on SR 906, which runs parallel to Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass.
