Police responded to Issaquah High School on Friday, Jan. 17, after a morning call reported that a teen, not currently enrolled in the district, allegedly brought a gun to school in a backpack on Thursday, Jan. 16.

The alleged suspect was not seen on campus Friday, according to a note to families on the school’s website.

Law enforcement did not recommend a lockdown. However, additional police called to the campus and the school’s physical education classes were moved indoors. Neighboring schools were notified.

Clark Elementary, due to its proximity, kept students inside during recess.

The school’s website said police have made contact with the suspect and are continuing to investigate.
