Issaquah is in line for $1.1 million for transportation projects from the Puget Sound Regional Council. The money is part of more than $440 million in federal funds proposed by PSRC to improve transportation around the region.
Projects in the Issaquah area include:
• SE May Valley Road Preservation Project – from SR 900/Renton-Issaquah Rd to 229th Ave SE in unincorporated King County – $824,586
• Issaquah Hobart Road Overlay Project – $315,414
PSRC is encouraging public comments on the projects proposed for funding and on the region’s draft Transportation Improvement Program for 2013-2016. The public comment period runs through Oct. 25. The vote by PSRC’s Executive Board to approve the 2013-2016 Transportation Improvement Program is scheduled for Oct. 25.
