Issaquah named top ‘City on the Rise’

Issaquah has been named the top "City on the Rise for 2014" in the state by Estately is a national real estate search site.

 

Issaquah has been named the top “City on the Rise for 2014” in the state by Estately is a national real estate search site.

The award is based on cities with populations over 30,000 is based on ranking for six criteria with data derived from the U.S. Census and the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report.

The criteria are increase in population (2000-2012), increase in median home values (2000-2010), decrease in poverty rates (2000-2012), reduction in crime (2000-2012), increase in median household income and increase in those with bachelor’s degrees.

The top 10 cities are Issaquah, Pasco, Auburn, Bellevue, Sammamish, Bellingham, Lacey, Olympia, Seattle and Renton.
