The Chris Elliott Fund will host the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce after hours event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29 at the home of Executive Director Dellann Elliott.

The Chris Elliott Fund will host the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce after hours event from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29 at the home of Executive Director Dellann Elliott.

The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the celebration of six years of raising brain cancer awareness. Refreshments will include beer and bratwurst.

Admission proceeds will benefit CEF. Registration in advance is required; admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door.

NASCAR driver’s car to visit Issaquah

Issaquah Sport Clips will host NASCAR driver Mike Wallace’s No. 7 Busch Series tour car from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1.

Fans are invited to visit and have their picture taken with the car, or just check it out.

Wallace made his Busch Series debut in 1990 at the season-closing Winston Classic at Martinsville Speedway. Starting 24th, Wallace amazed racing fans by finishing sixth, and is now in the second decade of his racing career
