The theft of a refrigerator and water cooler was reported on July 2 in the 600 block of Front Street N. at Staples. It was estimated to be a $239.98 loss. A 29-year-old man from Renton was arrested.

The theft of a refrigerator and water cooler was reported on July 2 in the 600 block of Front Street N. at Staples. It was estimated to be a $239.98 loss. A 29-year-old man from Renton was arrested.

Malicious mischief

An employee at the Brown Bear Car Wash saw a man drive away from the gas station with the gas hose still connected to his truck. Police contacted him approximately three blocks from the scene and notified him he was responsible for the damage to the gas pumps. The man said he would return and make arrangements to fix the problem.

Suspicious

A real estate agent who was meeting with a home owner in the 500 block of SE Lewis Street, discovered two people in the back bedroom. After attempting to wake them, but getting no response she call 911, believing they were dead. Police determined the people were in a deep sleep.

During a bar check on Front Street on Saturday evening officers found a 34-year-old Issaquah man hiding behind a dumpster in the back parking lot of Las Margaritas. He was wanted on a warrant by King County Sheriff officers, was arrested and transported to IPD jail.

Agency assist

IPD responded to an agency assist call on Sunday morning to the Bank of America parking lot on Front Street where Eastside Fire and Rescue was extinguishing a small brush fire.

Illegal fireworks

Over the holiday weekend IPD received 22 calls regarding illegal fireworks. According to the police department, in 2008 IPD recieved 38 calls between July 3 and July 5 and 20 complaint calls those days in 2007.
