Robbery suspects

Issaquah Police on Oct. 30 arrested two men on suspicion of robbery, wrapping up a nearly month-long investigation.

Both men, ages 19 and 22, are Issaquah residents, according to a press release.

On Oct. 2, officers responded to a report of robbery in the 5300 block of 232nd Avenue Southeast, the release said. A cab driver had been called to the area to pick up a rider, and the driver was beaten, robbed and tied up, officers said. The suspects also displayed a firearm.

Both men are being held in the King County Jail until their arraignment, officials said.

Trespassing

Four officers responded shortly before 11 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Rollin’ Log Tavern, 50 East Sunset Way. Inside, a couple dressed as Smurfs for Halloween were allegedly fighting with others at the bar, and the woman dressed in costume was reported to have thrown a pumpkin and a beer bottle at a person inside the bar.

Noise complaint

Officers responded to a noise complaint at about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 500 block of Newport Way Northwest after neighbors complained about a person flying a remote control helicopter. The man had just landed the helicopter when police arrived, and was issued a warning.

Theft cases

• Motor vehicle parts were stolen from a parked car at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 18300 block of Southeast Newport Way.

• Officers responded to a report of theft at approximately 7 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 5400 block of 236th Place Southeast.

Harassment

A woman reported receiving five to six harassing cell phone calls for approximately one week. The caller was a man, who repeatedly asked for a woman of a different name. She told police she was worried it was her ex-boyfriend. Officers called the numbers the harassing calls were coming from, and spoke with a man who said his boss had given him the number, and it was a wrong number.

Burglary

Officers responded to a report of burglary at about 9:45 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 500 block of 1st Avenue Northwest. A suspect cut the padlocks securing a gate on a city shop and stole approximately $10,000 worth of pressure washers and equipment. Police are still investigating, and awaiting an inventory report from the shop.

Forgery

An Issaquah resident reported a case of forgery Nov. 3 after their checking account number was used on a forged check to pay for pizza outside of the city.

Vehicle theft

• Officers responded to a report of a red 1990 Nissan Pathfinder stolen at approximately 11:20 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 800 block of Front Street.

• A white 1997 Nissan pickup truck was reported stolen Nov. 3 from the 500 block of Newport Way Northwest. Loss was estimated at $5,000.

Reckless driving

Police responded to a report of reckless driving at about 4:30 p.m. Nov. 3 on the corner of West Sunset Way and Sunset Court Northwest, where a driver with only an instructional permit was “four-wheeling” on public works property. The driver had caused damage to the retention area, and the vehicle was stuck. Police were unable to tow the vehicle out with other four-wheel drive vehicles and a tow truck had to be called. The driver may be cited.
