Issaquah Police chase and arrest two, but one gets away

A man and a woman were arrested by Issaquah Police early this morning after a brief car chase through the city. The suspects had been observed driving slowly through the Talus neighborhood trying to open the doors of parked cars.

A man and a woman were arrested by Issaquah Police early this morning after a brief car chase through the city. The suspects had been observed driving slowly through the Talus neighborhood trying to open the doors of parked cars.

At approximately 3:20 a.m., Issaquah Police responded to the 2100 block of NW Boulder Way Drive, after a citizen called to say they had observed the suspects trying to gain entry to parked cars, including the caller’s car.

Upon arriving at the scene, police saw a vehicle matching the description fleeing the scene at high speed.

According to press release issued by the Issaquah Police department today, officers located the vehicle on east bound Interstate 90 near the Front Street exit. The suspects fled on foot into nearby bushes.

Officers immediately arrested a female suspect.

With the assistance of a Redmond Police Department canine unit, police later located the driver, a Seattle man.

Inside the vehicle, police found what they believed may be tools for breaking into houses, and possible stolen property.

A third person, a woman, believed to have been in the vehicle also, has not been located.

The vehicle was later found to have been stolen in Seattle.

The Seattle man was booked into King County Jail and is being held on felony possession of stolen property.

The woman, from Des Moines, was arrested and is being charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of justice.
