Issaquah teen distributes AI-generated nude photos of female students

A recent ongoing investigation has Issaquah High School students involved in the creation and distribution of AI-generated pornographic images of female classmates.

A teenage boy took photos of several female classmates and used AI to create nude images of them, then sent them around the school, according to KIRO 7.

When asked about the timeline of the investigation, Issaquah Police Chief Paula Schwan said it was interesting. The school got the report of the incident on Oct. 17, Schwan said in an email. However, the police department was not informed of the issue until Oct. 20, when the students’ families notified them.

Four days later, the school initiated a CPS report — after detectives spoke with them.

“We have warrants completed and are actively working the case,” Schwan said. “There is zero indication the prosecutor will not press charges, but we must complete the investigation before a final determination can be made by them.”

The Issaquah Reporter reached out to the Issaquah School District for comment about what internal measures — such as suspension or expulsion — are being taken, as well as what steps the school took to inform parents of the incident.

Update:

In response to the Issaquah Reporter, the Issaquah School District said in an email, “There was an incident involving some of our students in mid-October. We notified all families of students who were confirmed to have been involved in the incident.”

The school district reinforced the case was a police matter, and they are currently unable to share other information.

“We empathize with all students and families connected to this incident,” the school district said.
