Issaquah will host the opening leg of the Mountains to Sound Greenway inaugural traveling photo exhibition.

The exhibition will feature 30 images of the Greenway taken by the people who live, work and play in the cities, towns, mountains and natural areas from Seattle east to Central Washington – amateur photographers of all ages and abilities.

The photographs were selected by exhibition curator and Seattle photographer Dave Schiefelbein, from the hundreds of entries in this year’s Greenway Photo Contest.

The exhibition will be on display in the foyer of the Issaquah Community Center Aug. 15 through Sept. 1. The Sammamish Arts Commission helped support the exhibit.

The exhibition will then travel the Greenway for the next seven months, stopping in Roslyn, Duvall, Ballard, Ellensburg, Kirkland and downtown Seattle.

More photography based in the Greenway will be available at artEAST Art Center’s Up Front Gallery in Historic Downtown Issaquah from 6-8 p.m. Saturday during the “Your Best Shot II Photo Exhibition.”
