About 180 people came out for an evening of dining, dancing and silent auctions at the Jumpin’ Jive to Thrive event Saturday evening, which supports local nonprofits.

The Kiwanis Club of Sammamish hosted the fourth annual event, for adults 21 years and older, at the Redmond/Sammamish Boys and Girls Club.

The event’s focal point, the Microsoft Jumpin’ Jive Orchestra, played music from the big band era. Most of the band’s musicians are either current or previous Microsoft employees.

Proceeds support youth programs locally and globally, as well as participating nonprofits, like Athletes for Kids, Eastside Baby Corner and Sammamish Friends. Sponsors Aegis Living of Marymoor provided all of the food and Nothing Bundt Cakes provided the dessert.
