June 16 a popular day for auto thefts | Issaquah Police Blotter

Apparently criminals start their work weeks on Monday, too — three cars were stolen in the Issaquah-Sammamish area on June 16. Those and a few other incident reports from the Issaquah Police Department make up this week's police blotter.

Auto thefts

A 1991 Nissan 240 was reported stolen at 10:59 a.m. on June 16 from the 23400 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road. The loss was estimated at $1,500.

A 1995 Honda Accord was taken from a home in the 6200 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast, according to a police report taken at 9:03 p.m. on June 16.

A 1992 Honda Civic was reported stolen at 7:39 p.m. on June 16 from Costco at 1801 10th Ave. N.W. The loss was estimated at $3,500, a police report said.

Found property

A canoe was found washed up on shore in the 4300 block of 193rd Avenue Southeast at 2:05 p.m. on June 16.

Domestic violence

A 19-year-old Renton male was arrested for investigation of domestic violence assault at 6:34 p.m. on June 16 at Lowes at 1625 11th Ave. N.W., according to a police report.

Assault arrest

A 20-year-old Issaquah man was arrested for investigation of assault at 8:34 p.m. on June 16 at Round Table Pizza at 730 N.W. Gilman Blvd.

Wanted person

A 24-year-old Kirkland male was arrested on an outstanding warrant for marijuana posession at 8:31 a.m. on June 17 at the Boehm pool at 50 S.E. Clark Street.
