Kids invited to enter ideas for healthy school lunches at Sammamish Farmers Market

The back-to-school contest will be operated out of the information booth at the Sammamish Farmers Market Aug. 27.

This Wednesday, children are invited to enter their ideas for healthy choices on their school lunch menus to win a prize.

The back-to-school contest will be operated out of the information booth at the Sammamish Farmers Market Aug. 27. In addition to the prize, some of the healthy choices entered will be published on the Market’s Facebook page.

Sammamish students under the direction of Pamela Liu will also play “Fiddling at the Market,” an arrangement of music accompanied by folk singer P.K. Dwyer.

The Farmers Market is operated from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesdays at 801 228th Ave. S.E.
