Local schools planning to be back in session on Wednesday

Many local schools are preparing to return to normal schedules on Wednesday, so long as roads are in suitable travel conditions.

The Issaquah School District is on “Weather Watch” for Wednesday and plans to post information regarding school schedules by 6 a.m. tomorrow.

The Lake Washington School District plans to open its schools on time tomorrow, with buses running on snow routes.

Eastside Catholic will begin two hours late on Wednesday. Buses will run on a two-hour delay.

In Issaquah, garbage and recyling collection may soon return. Recology CleanScapes service has been temporarily suspended due to the snow and poor road conditions. Should conditions improve by tomorrow, make-up collections will take place Feb. 13 and 14. Extra material will be collected at no additional charge. Residents may find service updates online at the Recology CleanScapes website.

In Sammamish, city parks are tentatively scheduled to re-open on Friday at 4 p.m.

For residents who have debris from the winter storm, the city will have a drop-off service available on Feb. 18. The city is asking residents to hold on to their debris while details for the drop-off service are finalized.
