CATCH AND RELEASE: Sammamish police arrested a driver at Northeast Fourth Street and 228th Avenue Northeast for driving while license suspended in the third degree. The driver was later released to licensed driver.

March 7

CENTER LANE: Sammamish police stopped a driver in the 22600 block of NE Inglewood Hill Rd for improperly using the center turning lane. The driver was later arrested for driving while license suspended in the third degree and impounded the driver’s vehicle.

DOOBIE: An Eastlake High School school resource officer found students with marijuana in a backpack at the high school in the 400 block of 228th Ave. NE.

March 9

‘SORRY’ ‘BABY’: A Sammamish resident reported that someone sold them fraudulent Justin Bieber concert tickets for the Seattle event through Craigslist.

SMASHED: Victims reported the passenger window of their vehicle parked in the 24300 block of SE Issaquah-Fall City Road around 6 p.m. The unknown suspect stole a purse and laptop.

March 10

GREAT PLACE TO SLEEP: A Sammamish police officer saw an idling vehicle parked in front of a hydrant in the 900 block of 233rd Ave. NE around 1:21 a.m. The driver, who had been sleeping, was taken into custody for driving while under the influence.

EMPTY BOX: A resident in the 4600 block of 233rd Ave. SE reported someone took their Amazon package from the front porch. The empty box was found a few hundred yards from the house. The resident was not sure what was inside the box.

March 12

ARREST: Sammamish police arrested a driver in the 4500 block of Klahanie Drive for driving while license revoked in the third degree.

March 13

DISTURBANCE: Sammamish police responded to a family disturbance in the 2500 block of Klahanie Blvd. The father reportedly punched and kicked the wall leaving two holes.

March 14

RED LIGHT: A resident in the 200 block of 244th Ave. NE forcibly kicked the door, breaking the wood, to gain entry. The suspect tried to enter the bedroom where the victim was before the suspect left. The suspect reportedly was using a red flashlight.

THREAT: The Eastlake High School resource officer was told of a “threatening message” on the bathroom stall wall in the second floor bathroom of the high school located off of 228th Ave. NE.

March 18

GARBAGE CAN: An unknown driver apparently forgot he or she parked behind a cement garbage can at Skyline High School off of 228th Ave. SE. The driver hit the can when he or she left the parking lot but failed to inform the school of the incident.

SNOW GOOD: Someone reportedly took money and snowboarding clothes from the trunk of an unlocked car in the 1400 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE.

RUDE: A resident in the 1600 block of 248th Ave. SE purchased a vehicles for $2,350, drove it home and parked it in his driveway. He last saw his new vehicle around 7:30 p.m. March 17. The following morning, on March 18, the owner noticed the vehicle was gone from his residence around 7:30 a.m.

TV: Eastlake High School security found a flat screen TV left near a fence line behind Trader Joe’s off of 228th Ave. NE. The screen was cracked in numerous places.

ARREST: Sammamish police arrested a driver in the 3900 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE for a felony warrant and driving while licensed revoked in the third degree.

March 19

TOO EARLY FOR THIS: Sammamish police received a complaint that subcontractors in the 1900 block of 15th Place SE was working before 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

SIDING REMOVED: A homeowner in the 21100 block of NE Ninth St. reported someone had removed the siding of his home to gain access underneath it. The resident found a power drill next to the house. Nothing was taken from within or around the home.

MAIL FOUND: Stray mail was found on the side of the roadway in the 1800 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE.
