Police calls in Sammamish between Feb. 1 and Feb. 10.

Feb. 1

New shoes: A person fraudulently took over $1,280 from a resident of 270th Place Southeast. The thief used $220 to buy a pair of shoes. The remaining $1,060 was returned to the resident, who reported the fraud at 3:35 p.m.

Feb. 3

Here I sit, broken-hearted: Graffiti was found in a bathroom at the Beaver Lake Park ballfield at 7:51 p.m.

On a roll: A couple on 206th Trail Northeast reported at 6:35 p.m. that they had been awoken the previous night by the doorbell ringing, but did not go to the door. After getting up later, they found on surveillance video that a juvenile had broken a light while toilet papering their tree.

Feb. 5

When the cat’s away: At 12:35 p.m., the building manager of Colina Square Apartments on Southeast 29th Street called to report a burglary from two days before. The manager told police that prior tenants had entered their previous residence, likely through the rear window and then the front door, so that they could have a party.

Feb. 7

License to steal: A resident of Northeast Third Place came to Sammamish City Hall at 4:30 p.m. to report that he had had the license plate stolen from the front of his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway.

Good fencing makes good neighbors: A resident of 255th Lane Southeast called police at 11:09 p.m. to report that his neighbor had been standing in his driveway holding a sword. The neighbor had also flipped him off.

Feb. 9

Arrest: At 11:42 p.m., a driver was arrested at the corner of Northeast Eighth Street and 231st Place Northeast for obstructing an officer and for driving with a suspended license.

Feb. 10

Money, money, money: At 1:58 p.m., a couple that has been together seven years got into a verbal argument about finances behind the Hairmasters on Issaquah-Pine Lake Road. The situation turned into a civil standby.
