Man missing from Issaquah found dead

Alzheimer's patient, Joseph Douret went missing from his home in Issaquah Dec. 21

On Dec. 24, Everett police located the green 1999 Chevrolet Malibu passenger car noted in a missing/endangered person alert. Inside the vehicle was a deceased male identified as Joseph Douret. Douret’s death appears to be of natural causes and is being investigated by Everett PD.

An alzheimer’s patient, Douret, left his Issaquah home on Dec. 21 at 5:30 p.m. to buy dinner at a nearby store. He did not return to his residence which is located near the intersection of Mountain Park Blvd S.W. and W. Sunset Way.

The Issaquah Police Department received several calls related to Douret after his disappearance. Between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Dec. 21, four individuals had contact with Douret in the Federal Way/Milton/Edgewood areas. In each of the contacts, Douret appeared confused and requested directions back to Issaquah.

Another person had contact with Douret on May Valley Road south of Issaquah during the same time frame. Douret was also possibly seen near the CenturyLink Field on Dec. 22 at 4:30 p.m. following the Seahawks game.
