The Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA) Local 14 and the Washington Chapter of the March of Dimes have teamed up to bring some holiday cheer to local children as nearly 500 toys valued at over $8,000 will be donated to the Eastside Baby Corner on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

“We are grateful for the efforts of the AMFA and the March of Dimes to provide something to children that many of us take for granted over the holidays – a special toy,’ said Karen Ridlon, Eastside Baby Corner Executive Director. “These toys will bring hundreds of smiles to children and families in need in our communities this holiday season.”

Over the past two months, AMFA Local 14 has been collecting new, unwrapped toys.

“Our membership has rallied around this special toy drive to help two outstanding organizations in our community – the March of Dimes and Eastside Baby Corner,” said Jim Rea, AMFA Vice President. “We are proud that we can play a part in bringing smiles to our communities’ children this holiday season.”

The March of Dimes is a strong supporter of Eastside Baby Corner and has partnered in the past to donate thousands of diapers and jars of baby food, infant car seats and cribs to local families in need.

“We are extremely proud of how the AMFA has rallied around the March of Dimes and Eastside Baby Corner,” said Ryan Dotson, March of Dimes. “Their time, efforts, and enthusiasm to make a difference in our communities will be seen on the smiling faces of every child who receives a toy from Eastside Baby Corner.”
