Meeting set to discuss electric vehicles

An electric vehicle advocacy group will hold an exploratory meeting from 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 7 to see if there is interest in forming ongoing meetings on the subject.

An electric vehicle advocacy group will hold an exploratory meeting from 7-9 p.m. Monday, April 7 to see if there is interest in forming ongoing meetings on the subject. The meeting is open to the public and welcomes anyone who is an advocate for the EV community and is interested in forming an electrical vehicles group on the Eastside.

There will be introductory remarks from individuals and organizations who have been advocates for the adoption of electric vehicles. Confirmed speakers are state Rep. Chad Magendanz, Tonia Buell (WSDOT), Seattle Electric Vehicle Association and Plug in America representatives.

There will be a brief presentation about the status of electric vehicles and related issues in Washington state. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer period with a panel comprised of those who previously addressed the audience. The meeting will be at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive, in the Issaquah Highlands.
