Starting Tuesday, Sept 4, 2012, local musicians will play live open mic music inside the Historic Train Depot in downtown Issaquah from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the Downtown Issaquah Association (DIA), along with the Issaquah Historical Society and the Issaquah Valley Senior Center, the open mic events will be held every first Tuesday of the month starting in September, and will feature folk, rock, blues, jazz, pop and reggae music.

The open mic is produced and promoted by the Issaquah Open Mic team consisting of Lee Haro, Bob Brock, TK Panni and Doug Browning. Per an agreement with the Historical Society that owns and operates the Depot, no food or adult beverages will be served. Rather, attendees are encouraged to dine at restaurants in the area before the music begins.

While there is no cover charge, donations to the Historical Society are encouraged – and a donation bucket will be left out or circulated for those who want to donate. The Historic Train Depot is located behind City Hall at 150 1st Avenue Northeast. Parking is available near the Depot.
