A Springhills Suites Marriott is in the works near the intersection of NW Maple Street and 12th Ave. NW.

Members of the city of Issaquah’s Development Commission held a community conference Wednesday to discuss the proposal, which city staff recommended the commission approve, with conditions.

The applicants are seeking a site development permit for the five-story hotel which would include two levels of above ground parking. The development is listed at being 143,700 square feet, which will include 145 guest rooms and room for 203 vehicles.

The applicant also requested an administrative adjustment to the standards of building height to allow a portion of the hotel to be approximately 50 feet on the southern and western ends of the building and to adjust standards to allow for shared parking with the Maple Street Building which sits across the street to the north of the proposed project.
