The city of Sammamish is closing a portion of East Lake Sammamish Parkway during the night Aug. 1 for construction on the Sammamish Landing Park.

The parkway, from Inglewood Hill Road to the northern city limits at 187th Avenue Northeast, will be closed in both directions from 7 p.m. to midnight.

“Residents who live in the closed area will be allowed through by police and traffic control personnel,” according to a city release.

Sammamish Landing Park and the parking lot will also close early Aug. 1 for construction. Normal park operations will return Aug. 2.

The city has posted a detour map directing traffic onto Redmond-Fall City Road Northeast to Sahalee Way Northeast to Northeast Inglewood Hill Road.
