Physical therapist Mark Bromberg will offer some solutions for the challenges of balance and gait that hinder the everyday activities of patients with multiple sclerosis in June at the Swedish Hospital in the Issaquah Highlands.
Bromberg will provide simple exercises to offset the impact of the neurological condition to members of the No Whiners MS Support Group beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
“Physical therapy can help train core muscles and improve flexibility that will reduce the risk of falling and improve the overall safety of daily activities,” said Bromberg. “A physical therapist has the skills to assess gait and then provide the proper individualized exercise program to reduce those deficits.”
Bromberg operates Snoqualmie Physical Therapy at 7713 Center Blvd.
The No Whiners meet on the second Wednesday of every month in the second floor conference center at the Swedish campus located at 751 N.E. Blakely Dr. For more information on the No Whiners, contact Gregg Robinson with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at gregg.robinson@nmss.org.
