Police seek public’s help to find suspect in stabbing

Issaquah police are seeking your help to find and apprehend a suspect in a stabbing Friday night, March 14. The stabbing occurred at 10:25 p.m. in the area of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, 125 W. Sunset Way.

 

Issaquah police are seeking your help to find and apprehend a suspect in a stabbing Friday night, March 14. The stabbing occurred at 10:25 p.m. in the area of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, 125 W. Sunset Way.

When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed. The suspect had fled. Officers searched the area, but did not locate the suspect.

Issaquah Police Chief Paul Ayers said the victim and witnesses identified the suspect as Benjamin T. Haldeman of Issaquah.

Haldeman is a 20-year-old white man, 5-feet, 8-inches tall, 160 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and gray sweatpants, and carrying a black backpack.

He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him or have information on his whereabouts, do not attempt to contact him, rather call 911 immediately.

The man wounded in the stabbing was transported to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, where he was treated for his injury.
